Group Core Profit, which is a numerical management target within the Next Challenge 2017 Medium-Term Management Plan, is calculated as follows.

Group Core Profit = Consolidated net income − net capital 
　　　　　　　　　gains/losses on stock portfolio (gains/
　　　　　　　　　losses on sales, etc.) − net evaluation 
　　　　　　　　　gains/losses on credit derivatives − other 
　　　　　　　　　incidental factors + equity in earnings of 
　　　　　　　　　the non-consolidated Group companies
